BELIEVE ON HIS WORD

Reading: 1 John 5:1-13
NATS: I write these things to you, that you who believe in the name of the Son of God, know that ye have eternal life (1 John 5:13)

Many people who truly believe in Christ has challenged the safety that they enjoy. Although repentance and faith in Jesus as the Messiah, they are still wondering to myself, "Will I really go to heaven?"

My husband, the late Bill, often recount the events he had experienced when he was two years old. One day when he does not obey, he wandered out of the house and get lost. As I realized that Bill is gone, his parents went looking for him. They were so relieved when I finally find Bill who was crying. Then they were brought Bill home in a safe state.

A few days later, Billy heard his mother tell this incident to a guest. When got to the part that tells the story of their quest against him, Billy began to think of the experience. "Mom, Mom!" she sobbed. "Is she really used to find me?" Somewhat surprised and deeply moved by Bill doubt, the mother hugged him and said, "Sure, kid! Do not you remember the happiest moment? Now you're with us, and we guarantee you will always be with us." The soothing words of Billy because he believed the words of his mother.

Letter of 1 John in the New Testament was written to reveal to Christians about assurance of salvation. Safety assurance it can be yours too if you believe his word - Jey
